Since the start of 2023, more than 150 of these spaces have shut down – roughly one-sixth of the total UK scene.
Over the past year, major artists including Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all supported the trust in its initiatives to support the industry, by applying a minor surcharge to their ticket prices, which benefits smaller concert halls.
Sam Fender also took part, raising in excess of £100,000 on his live tour to assist thirty-eight small stages across Britain.
The donation assisted spaces that were dealing with possible closure due to issues stemming from flooding, fires and personal losses, as well as permit problems, conflicts and neighbor objections.
Additional spaces received monetary aid in modernizing infrastructure and gear that directly benefitted performers and concertgoers.
"The concept that funds from performances in big venues helps the local stages, where it begins for performers like me, is just logical," Sam Fender has said.

Last week, the trust revealed it had saved several small stages in south-east England, by placing them under local control.
One venue in the city and the second in that location were bought under the community ownership scheme, which is supported by Arts Council England and music fans who acquire "ownership units" in the properties.
